Serge Helfrich is of Alsatian descent and distiller's blood is flowing through his veins. In his childhood he started to distil eau-de-vie from pears from the tree in the backyard. Now, as a biologist he uses his knowledge of plants and separation methods to elaborate and to perfect his absinthe recipes.
